We all have memories. Have you ever considered your memories to decorate your house or garden? There are all sorts of ways to do this. You could use signs, photos, etc.
How about using a statue? I found this statue that I think is cute. One that represents an act of days gone by. I know memories live in your mind and in your heart. But visual memories are nice as well.
