Changeable Holiday Sign

Since we've been winterizing my yard kind of bare. Of course we will decorate for the holidays, but these decorations don't stay out for long.
Five signs in one! Mark the seasons with five changeable plaques, each sporting a timely folk-art theme.

I thought this sign would be good to use as it can be changed with the holidays. What do you think?

Wall Fountains

There are many water fountains on the market that are to be used on walls. They don't have to be just outside, they can be brought in as well. This application is really very stunning if used in an entry way. There is something about the sound of water that is running or cascading over the edge of a bowl. The melodious tone is mesmerizing.

When it's time for the little birdies to come home for the holidays, what better destination than this snow-capped refuge--- where Santa awaits! This is absolutly adorable. It can add to your indoor decor it you don't want to place it in the weather.

Whimsical Statues

The corn is almost ready to be harvested. I'm watching the crows. They fly over and over and call to each other. Almost like they are talking about the abundance of food that they have found. And perhaps they are (talking to each other). There antics are fun to watch. They fly, dive, at times they just to be gliding. I know they can be kind of a nuisance bird but I'm sure they have a purpose. I found this statue to be fun hidden in the garden for the unsuspecting visitor to find.

Continuing to Winterize

We have been winterizing. It's probably a good thing. I thought we were doing good time wise, but they're already calling for snow next week!! Our summer was cooler, and that was nice, I'll have to admit, but October has been really cool and wet. This is very unusual for our area. It is more like November weather. This is not good news for the farmers. Our crops aren't ready for this and it will be difficult to harvest with the wet ground. (makes it difficult to get the machinery in and out of the fields).

We brought in our house plants (during the summer months I take them outside). I have a few more plants that need to be repotted. They really grew over the summer with the fresh air and sun. Remember to clean your "used" pots with a mild solution of bleach, this will kill any bacteria that might be in the soil and your pot will be good to go in the spring.
